my first time deer hunting

i got a used fred bear compound bow... got it from a place in cincinnati
called afield, got it for $50, might hunt at my brothers daughters
home... if not i'll hit a state forest hueston woods
they have 200 acres

get out and sling a few sticks at a target 20 and 30 yards away and get a good feel for your bow and the yardage. unless you have a marked out hunting spot yardage can play tricks on you sometimes exspesualy if you are completly new to bow shooting or hunting. and good luck I love stick hunting there more's to it than just slinging lead 100 yards away.

i've been going to bass pro shop... might try target world

next time you go to walmart ( just cause bass pro is 3 times higher) pick up a target and shoot in the back yard. if you live in a city with people close behind you set two 4x4 post about 8 feet apart and top it with another and hang two or three layers of carpet on it and nail on all three sides. and place your target a foot or so infront of it that should give you plenty of backing incase you miss or deflect. we made one and shot at it for many years we also suspended the target with rope from all four corners and put a plywood roof over to help keep sunlight and rain off( realy helps add life to an outside target)
