Hello all, there is a chance I'll be visiting the twin cities area (Hastings, to be exact) in early October for one of my wife's friend's wedding. I may be up there for several days, and I was wondering if any of you can point me in the direction of a nearby lake where I could go to chase some Walleye. I see on the map a Lake Isabelle, but it looks like it has boat access only, and I can't find any reports on what type of fish are in there. I don't want to drive very far from where I'm staying since I don't know the area.

Normally I fish near Lawrence, KS and the nearby lake has very few walleye in it. I've always wanted to get into some walleye, and I know you northern guys have a lot more of them than I do! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

if your going to be in hastings. Your best bet might be the Mississippi or St. Croix river. Its prime time for Walleye in the rivers and lots of hawgs to be had.
