86 pound blue catfish on rod and reel

August 12 I went out fishing around 9. We sat in one hole for about an hour and had no bites. We went to the second spot for the night, and were not there for more than 2 minutes and had one rod go down. I fought him for about ten minutes, not realizing how big he really was. It was a struggle to get him into the boat since we didnt fit into the net. He weighed 86 pounds. He was 63 inches long and 33 inches around. The local game warden said that by the time we had officially weighed him he had lost about 5 to 10 pounds of water weight. We released him back into the water.

i do not know what my state record is but we had to take it to the gameand fish guy and be for that he was weghing in at 98.44 so i dont know what to take for a whight that one or the other one

Is'nt there a us cats tournament on the 31st? Anyway fished till 11 last night caught 1 about 20lbs and missed 1 a lot of trash on the river.
