Hey Larry why don't you enter some of them awesome flats into the BOC hall of fame. There's no one in the minnesota area for flats yet.

Nice to hear from you. What is the record Flathead up there?

Catfish, Flathead: 70 pounds, length not available, St. Croix River (Washington County), 1970.
St Croix I believe runs along the border between Minnesota and Wisconsin until it runs into the Mississippi.
Info taken from Minnesota DNR website.
Come on up! June is nice up here.

Randy, I'd say try the snake river or any lakes that are in the system of the snake.
I've fished the snake a few times (from pokegema) with small cat results, though I have heard stories of hogs being pulled from there.
After all the snake dumps into the st.croix and I know they are in the croix.

I am about to have a "B-Day" on Sunday and the wife said I could do what ever I wanted.....guess what I asked to do? hehehe:wink:
Anyways....where is a good spot to go in MN I might expect to get some cats? I am willing to travel and the store is not an option, (that was what my wife said), she only likes fresh catfish.:cool2:
Thanks in advance....

Minnesota is full of good spots!
For channels the red is probably the best then the st.croix and also the horse shoe chain of lakes in the richmond/coldspring area and of cousre the mississippi and the minnesota rivers are all good.
For flats the minnesota, mississippi and the lower st.croix.
I'm sure there are more, I even heard a few lakes in the cities were being stocked with channels now.
