Count me in! Have several people here fishing for them. Some real diehards. Friends of mine have caught several. One was pushing the 50 inch mark. I haven't caught one yet this year.:crying:

I was out Sat. as well in my boat on the Suskie N.B. I was hopeing for an Eye. but had no luck there so I switched over to Smallie's. I ended up with 10 Bass from 13 to 171/2" everything was cought on tube's. The river was riseing all day with a lot of trash flooting around. Today the river is 7' higher than it was on Sat. Now if only the wind would slow down we could do some Catfishing.

Well the wind slowed down to about 10 -15 MPH, I got the tree off my house so I think I'll head to the Suskie for a few hour's. The river is about 7' higher than it was last week this time, and nice and brown.

Raystown really nice man. I've been trying to get back out there. Fishing the cliffs last year for stripers, I didn't hook into any but my uncle caught a 30 pounder. They had us fishing with rainbow trout. Cool experience good luck out on the lake.

For anyone interested in muskie fishing in the Jersey Shore/ Williamsport area, there is a freakin' Huge Muskie feding on goslings under the bridge from J.S. to Antes Fort. East side of river. Just thought I'd pass it along for anyone in this area. Good luck. Oh yeah, He feeds in the A.M. around 6:00- 8:00. It look for all the world like a crocodile when its breaking the water! I flyfish right across the river from it and watch it when I can.

i would love a shot at a huge muskie but im not anywhere close. i take it you dont have the right tackle to take it? i would brake out my salt water rods and give it a try. maybe you should have a go with a fly rod? maybe a world record? yea it would be nearly impossible but you never know. if you have a shot you should take it!

I have this old 7' Mitchell "OUTBACK" That may work but I, for the most part, am a mornin' fly-fisherman and a night-time catter. Brother,- if I would latch on to that with my lil' 8' St.Croix and "high-stick" it...well....SNAP! end of that! LOL!! I might go to the local tackle shop and see if they have one of those BLUE FOX bucktail muskie lures. What size should I get for a muskie that is well over 3'? Never caught one before...oh', imagine the adreneline, I dont know what I'd do...
I think I'll just watch it for awhile and enjoy it. after all it chases all the fish I'm usually after twards my side of the river!

Jay,
The Blue Fox might work but when fishing for muskie they tend to be very picky. When i'm fishing for muskie in particular, i use everything in my tackle box. From husky jerks to 3" power grubs. The last muskie I caught was on a quarter ounce lead head and a 3" chartruese grub. My buddy caught his on a tennessee shad husky jerk and another guy on the river caught his on a creek chub on the bottom. Different days and different ways to catch muskie. A very elusive fish. Good Fishing guys.

Thank you for the advice! I think I will learn more about the fish and just enjoy watching him for now. I'll leave the muskie up to you more experienced guys!
