This sounds very interesting for sure. My only problem, and its a big one, is that I dont have a boat. :confused2: I mean I do, but I dont have a trailer or an engine for it lol. Rocky Point II is now in the books. I think a good time was had by all, the weather was good, and although the bite was tough ,eveybody boated some fish. Mrs. WRB braved the Ohio for her first big river trip, and loved it! In fact she boated a 27.5 lb blue for the weekends big fish. Now she's hooked :wink:. Guess I'll be talkin to Steve Brown at Catfish Safari about a couple of those pink rods he's got.
I'll get some pics posted as soon as I get them all in, and I have a story about a flathead with a sense of humor, a smokin Zebco, and how to organically Scotchgaurd the interior of a ba$$boat. :smile2:
I definately want to do a Rocky Point III, I'm thinkin around September so be savin your pennys for gas money and come join us.
I want to thank eveybody for comin and for bein such great friends.

I was up at the ramp friday at 6pm, but I didnt know what or who to look for, so I left. Went down close to the dam and fished. I got some decent bites, but didnt catch anything

what can i say about anouther good weekend at rocky point got there about 6 on friday set around an chatted for awhile an then all of lus loaded up an headed out for a night on the water boated a few fish that night got back to the ramp around midnight got up on sat around 6:00 set around waiting on the sleeping heads to wake up so i loaded the boat up an headed out on the water ontill every one was sleeping boated 2 more fish on sat moring headed back in to start catching some bait for sat night got back to the camp around noon were we had a nice dinner fixed by the camp girls a big thenks to them for feeding all of us went back out on sat night for a long night an some good fishing boated a few more nice fish got back to the ramp at about 2 in the moring sleep for a few hours an then got up for the good byes an telling the good stories of the fun weekend i wannna take the time to say thanks to every one for showing up an the good food an the good friend ship hope to do this all agean

It was a very hot weekend but the fish were quite obliging. Didn't catch any big ones but did catch a whole bunch of fish, all drifting except the small flatheads that stole my bluegills in the night!!!
Well done to the Bear clan; sounds like they had dibs on the bigguns.
Although we weren't planning on a communal meal, the ladies put on a really nice lunch on Saturday, thank you!
This could get to be a regular thing. At this rate we will end up with more Rocky's that Sylvester Stallone

:big_smile: Here We go again, Returning to Rocky Point! Seems like we just cant get enough. This isnt going to be an organized gathering per say. No community dinner, no giveaways, no organized demonstrations. Just a gathering of friends getting together to fish & BS. Its bring your own everything, casual attire, wives & children welcome, but optional. LMAO.

you left before i got to tell you about my battle with a beast!!!:smile2: i got a little spot up there thats holding some nice flatheads but i just couldnt pull them up out of the rocks without breaking them off:angry: my line would look like it went through a shredder after hooking into a fish in this spot so im going to have to do something different next time!! barry offered me his anchor line to use as a leader but i was out of bluegill :wink: ... i hooked into the biggest fish i ever put a hook into that night but i just couldnt get him out of the damn rocks !! ITS WAR!!
