West Point Flathead catfish Report

Went upriver the other morning for Flatheads. Got two runs. Missed both. A buddy fished all night (with rods and reels) and caught nine on live Bream, the biggest going 28 pounds. All fish were released. Looks like a better bite after dark.

Sounds like some good fishing at west point, I will be down at benning (columbus) in the spring and look forward to fishing that area. Any tips??

We caught some good Flatheads last spring from Brush Creek up to the first shoals above Franklin. From the ball park in Franklin up to the shoals the river is very rocky. Be careful not to damage your boat.
