Rex, we live to close not to hunt some this fall. I agree with the back strap method of scoring. Actually i'll let a young buck walk and take a big fat barren doe.

i killed a monster barren doe on rock creek this year. i gun hunt . i have a bad shoulder so i can't draw a bow. if you bow hunt let me know. i have a stand on my property that has a trail with rubs and scrapes 5 to 15 foot off the ladder. i left a monster 12 point on my place to go kill doe's on the mark twain

i got a place for you to bow hunt complet with stand. the reason i bought the place where i live is because the 1st time i looked at it it was covered with deer.

Great pictures, Sam. Looks like one of em is growing some nice wide horns. I just love the bachelor groups. Thanks for taking time to post those so we can enjoy them. How about some new pics of that fine grandson sometime? Hmm?

I think in that second picture of the grandkids, the 4 year old had just asked the 2 year old what he thought about the Presidential election this year.

Nice pics of the deer. I need to invest in one of those trail cameras. That one buck has potential. I would give him a couple of years. Heck. I usually shoot the does anyhow. Too darn many of them. If I see a smaller buck, I'll let him walk.:wink:Also thanks for posting the pics of the boys. Cute kids!!

Amen. Keep shooting all the biggest ones you'll end up with deer like they have in europe that are 2 feet high.
