My wife went to a baby shower and took my daughter with so I had 3 hrs to kill so I did the only thing a man can do---GO TO THE LAKE!! I was there from noon till 3ish shore fishing. I saw on a topo map a creek inlet that drops off sharp into deep water. I've been wantin to try it. When I hiked (yes hiked) to it I found a nice big tree that was intentionally deadfalled into the lake as it was tethered to its stump to keep from floating away. I broke a bunch off on submerged wood but managed one 19" channel cat. She was full of eggs as I found out when I filleted her. I need a few more for a fish fry. So here she is, the 1st cat of 2008.........
