Lake Unicoi

About 5 miles north of Helen, Ga. Unicoi Lake is a small lake and its loaded with catfish and trout. There is a no gas engine on boats rule, DNR does use a small motor on their boat. its ideal for a jon boat and trolling motor.

I have a buddy thats fished it fairly heavy and always catches a mess of catfish. You can use there fishing piers.

He also caught what could have been a state record large mouth bass.
He threw it back, in front of about 4 or 5 people. He turned and said I only want the catfish!

So if looking for a good place for some blues, try Lake Unicoi.:wink:

No I did not but you can bet If I had caught it, I would have been weighted on cert scales and stuffed at woodys in baldwin, ga.

Everybody said its was the biggest fish (bass) they had ever seen.:ooooh::roll_eyes:
