FISHED RIVER ABOVE SQUAW LAKE

[SIZE=3]decided to go upriver from squaw lake again yesterday. hit the water about 5:00 and knew i'd head in at dusk. got to the spot i wanted, tied off, and when i went to turn motor off, darn ignition key assy snapped on my. the part where it sticks out of the cover and the key sticks in it. broke off. key still worked, so stayed there and fished awhile. 4 channels about 1 1/2 lbs was all. released to get bigger.
by holding key housing, could turn key and start motor, so made in okay, but played heck getting key out of it.
guess boat is down until i get ignition replaced.

Thanks for the post Gary.... sorry to hear about the ignition prob... Could have used you on the bank at Mendota ( to keep the Youngins in line)... had a great time.....slow for me on the fishing... The quad was Illegal... so used it limited...

Might be down that was in a couple of weekends....

what did you use for bait?

Ray, wish i could of made Mendota too. as for bait, all the cats i've caught down here have been on both chicken and beef liver. they aren't the big ones yet, but at least the bite is starting to happen.
