Well If you dont mind a little drive maybe you should try "Kerr Lake" it's not too far away from you and has some excellent catfishing.:)

Raleigh is the hub. You can go in any direction and be on good cat water in as little as 15 minutes .
The Neuse river around Raleigh is an overlooked flathead destination.
Who would of thought you can catch 40+ pound cats within the city limits of Raleigh?

Thanks, I would love to go fishing with all of you sometime. I have access to a 44 acre private lake and have caught some nice bullheads the few times i fished. I have been told by several people there are some big boys in there if you would like to go just let me know.... I never fished on the CF river but would love to try that too...thanks again....
Welcome to the the BOC Ghostman. Think your going to like it here.
The BOC has got to be the best Catfishing site I have found.
My wife has a sister that lives near you.

Welcome ghostman there are alot of great spots aroun the raleigh area.Like mark said the neuse is a good place you also have sharron harris, falls lake and if you dont mind a lil drive in my opinion the best place in nc for cats the cape fear is not far from where you are you can go to lillington which is about 45mins away and fish the cape there but its pretty shallow through there.Ifyou go father down like in the fay areait gets deeper to where you can put a boat in with a motor you can put a boat in up around lillington area but your best bet is a canoe.

Hi All,
I, along with my best friend/husband Oldtroll (Wendell) had signed up on the old board back in 2004. Due to life situations we were out of touch for a long while.
We found our way back to the new board so thought I would say hello once again as I know there are tons of new people here.
We look forward to getting to know new friends, learn new things, and hopefully contribute to the community.
We currently fish from an 18 foot Sweetwater Pontoon and usually fish High Rock Lake, although I want to get back on Badin as well. Oldtroll has never been on Badin but I fished it a lot several years ago.
May you all have safe, successful fishing ventures. :-)

Thanks Mark.
If its planned far enough in advance we would love to join in and be there.
When I am not fishing or transporting rescued Labradors I live on my computer so I would be more than happy to help with any planning, etc. if someone lets me know what is needed.

um not too far from marina, leonard is off of longs ferry rd .if you come down goodman lake rd where it runs in to longs ferry, at the stop sighn, go striaght across and it then turns into leonard, you go all the way down about 3or4miles til you see a dirt rd on right called waccamaw dr and there will be a big old brown sighn there that says HIGH ROCK on it. Im down around the curve lot 81&82 .right on the river.I LOVE IT!!!
