Hows the fishing on the platte river. Just wondering if the fishing was getting good yet .

I aint even got a bite from a cat yet. Was up there last sat, and water temp was about 50 in the shallows if i remember right. A couple more weeks yet I figure.

Dan, I I live on the western end of Nebraska near Scottsbluff. Went out on Wendesday and caught a couple under five pounds off of dead shad. Water's still pretty cold.

Went out fri by ashland to a feeder creek to the platte. Water still too cold. Could not get a bite on chubs. So we tried some cut goldeyes that we had. caught a .5 pound channel, and they kept getting bigger. Ended up with 8 between 3-5 pounds, and a 10#2oz channel. Water temp was just under 50 in the shallows.

Thank you. I know next week is suposed to actually be spring. Should warm the waters enough to get old mr. flattie moving, and hungry.
