(posting this to a new thread just to make sure everyone sees it)

Here's the full text of the new Missouri catfish limits / regulations, which go into effect March 1. I've highlighted what I consider to be the most "important" differences.

Spread the word among your Missouri catfishing buddies...

3 CSR 10-6.510 Channel Catfish, Blue Catfish, Flathead Catfish
PURPOSE: This rule establishes seasons, methods and limits for taking catfish.

(1) Daily Limit: Ten (10) channel catfish, five (5) blue catfish and five (5) flathead catfish,
except:
(A) From the no-fishing zone below Truman Dam downstream throughout the noboating zone, the daily limit of channel catfish, blue catfish and flathead catfish is four (4) in the aggregate.
(B) On Bull Shoals Lake, Norfork Lake and Table Rock Lake, the daily limit of channel catfish, blue catfish and flathead catfish is ten (10) in the aggregate.
(C) On the Mississippi River, the daily and possession limit is twenty (20) channel catfish and blue catfish in the aggregate and ten (10) flathead catfish.
(D) On Longview Lake, the daily limit is one (1) flathead catfish.

(2) Methods: Pole and line, trotline, throwline, limb line, bank line, jug line and falconry.

(3) Seasons: Throughout the year.

(4) Length Limits: No length limits, except:
(A) From the no-fishing zone below Truman Dam downstream throughout the noboating zone, the daily limit of channel catfish, blue catfish and flathead catfish may include only one (1) fish more than twenty-four inches (24") in total length.
(B) All flathead catfish less than twenty-four inches (24") in total length must be returned to the water unharmed immediately after being caught from Longview Lake.

Interesting to note is that the "5 blue catfish" limit does *not* apply on the Mississippi River -- the limit remains 20 blues or channels in the aggregate. Likewise, on Bull Shoals, Table Rock and Norfork lakes, the limit is 10 blue, channel and flats in the aggregate.

Why can't I post a link to the Missouri fishing regulations? I'll swear it was in my original post but seems to have mysteriously vanished...

Here it is again just in case I only *think* I posted that link...
