I just purchased a cast net to use in AZ and never thought to check the regs here. Thanks for the post I will have to do some checking.

I don't know either! That is a very good question! I'll do some checking as well. Don't remember ever reading anything about net size. I do know that I can't handle a 10 footer! Too big and hard to cast.

There is no regulation on the size of a throw net in Missouri. Minnow traps and seines have specific size limits, but not throw nets.

3 CSR 10-6.605 Live Bait(2)(A) Live bait may be taken by a minnow trap with throat opening not to exceed one and one-half inches (1 1/2") in any dimension, dip net, throw net, pole and line, or a seine not more than twenty feet (20’) long and four feet (4’) deep, of a mesh not more than one-half inch (1/2") bar measure.

See the complete regulations here: http://www.sos.mo.gov/adrules/csr/current/3csr/3c10-6.pdf

Well thats good to know there is no size limit here in missouri. I been useing a 8ft net. I'm going to bump it up and start throwing a 10ft net this year. What can I say I'm young and still think bigger is better! :)
