Big game Solar Green, 15-30 lb, depending on the rod and reel.

Powerpro all the way. I like it because it has little to no memory so, while casting, it always comes off the spool straight as can be.

Mason Braid, 18lb on Abu 6000's and 6500. Mason Braid, 27lb on Abu 7000.

Trilene XL 20#.Same as Swampy.
In my book there is NO better line then Trilene. I've used it for years I've tried other lines but none of them stand up to the test like Trilene has. I tried that Cajun red line on my ABU spinning reels and I'll never use it again. It looks nice and is strong but it coils up so bad after just a few cast.

I agree with you Swampy concerning the Cajun Red. Heck I have a whole spool of the stuff in my shop and I'll never use it again. The first and it was the last time I ever used the stuff it coiled so badly that it durn near ruined my fishing trip not to mention my fishing partners ears from me a cussing the dang blasted stuff. Luckily I carry a spare spool of Trilene in 25 pound test which saved the day and my mind.

I use mostly mono on mine with three with braided right now. When I respool this season everything will have 30# mono.
As far as favorite goes I can't say I have one that I would use over the others. I like Berkley Big Game, Stren High Impact, Stren Hi Test(which isn't made anymore), Stren Catline, Berkley Catline and Ande line all in in the bright green color. I have so high lbs test but so far I have been able to play the fish out enough to where 30 lbs test is strong enough.

I like the original Stren an awful lot. Lately, I've been using Stren High Impact 15# (solar green) and like it pretty good, it's not quite as soft as original on spinning reels, but works fine.
I use to use Trilene XL, but switched back to the Stren.

Shakespeare Omniflex 30# is my go to line. At $2.00 a spool it's inexpensive and strong. I have caught cats up to 50 lb on it. As a matter of fact that is the only line that I have used for catting and snagging for the last 10 years. It has helped me win numerous tournaments. I do have a couple of reels spooled with the 50# line also, but it is still Omniflex. Why pay more when something cheaper is just as effective? Vern

I prefer Fireline on all my spinning reels. On my Abu's I have Omnaflex, Trilene, Berk. Big Game. I just can't seem to like one over the other. I've only removed line from a reel once because I hated it. It was Fusion. I have way too much new line waiting to be used. Seems I got gift cards from BasPro 3 years running. So I loaded up on line.

When I pull out my flathead poles, they are spooled with spiderwire.

Trilene is the line for me, I've been using it for years and caught hundreds of fish on it, I've never had it let me down. I usually use 20-50 pound test for my main line.
