The question is? Is it high and dry like the ramps are up here in KC? Tried to put the boat in a couple of times. Finally, just decided to wait till late Feb or March. Hope those stingy people upstream release some water soon!

Terry,
I was able to launch My boat at riverside park last weekend with no prob. You might give that ramp a shot.

Thanks Brad K,
Didn't know Riverside had a Ramp. Is at in the new park east of where the old riverboat used to sit? I'll have to check it out. Last time I checked - Parkville, Schimmel City and Leavenworth ramps were high and dry. Great information.

The ramp at riverside park is off front street, You turn on to front By the isle of capri and head east. there is a little road that heads north right before You get to the sears outlet and then take the first left into the park. I launched a 20' flatbottom there last weekend had to back the trailer almost off the ramp when the trailer started to drop off the ramp we pulled back up a bit and launched not a prob. hope this helps

I saw a boat using the fairfax ramp the other day. I don't know how much of the ramp is in the water though. Might be worth a try.

Thanks Brad K,
I think I have been to the Riverside Park that you are referring to. If I am thinking correctly you can see the I-435 Bridge and it kind of catty cornered across from the old Sam's Town Casino. Is this the right area.
Kaw Point in Fair Fax would be a lot closer to me. May have to drive down there and look at the ramp.
Thanks Everyone

Watch puttin in at Kaw Point as in low water levels you run the risk of hanging up the trailer putting in the boat as the ramp has a sheer drop off on the end and my buddy had a heck of a time gettin the triler back up off the frame when the trailer wheels fell of the end of the ramp.Don't want anyone tearin stuff up when tryin to fish.

Thanks Willy,
I don't want to tear anything up trying to launch the boat. Maybe the water levels will start to come up once the rain comes.

I wouldn't use the ramp at kaw point right now. last fall after the water dropped I launched from kaw point and couldn't get the boat back out from that ramp! The trailers cross member hooked on the end of the ramp and bent it a touch. the ramp @ riverside park is much more suited to launching at this river level.
And its is Harrahs that is directly across from the ramp at riverside park

Nope I was on my way home from work, it was like a tuesday or something maybe thursday? Either way I saw the trailer parked there. Then I went over the fairfax bridge and saw the boat headed down stream.

I would bet not. The boat ramp should be out of the water right now. I have not drove over the platte in a month or so but the way the missouri looks the platte has to be to low to navagate. Although I could be wrong...
