Muskingum river. If you use live bait and go often enough you'll catch one.
Start your fishing at one of the dams along the river. There are flatheads there almost year round. Spring, summer,& early fall.

Muskingum river is correct. Take 37 over through new lex, get on 13 south to 60. McConnellsville is good, Beverly is excellent, Devola is outstanding.
Lot of spots to bankfish too.

Shack you could also head to Zanesville I can show you on a map about a dozen bank spots you can hit. You spend any time out there you'll run into lots of flathead fishermen that usually don't mind showing some of what they know. Maybe not their favorite spot but at least info that will help you catch some. Thats in addition to the folks on here.
When I first started targeting flatheads I drove from Gahanna to zanesville twice a week or more, that was at least a 3 hour round trip, not even counting finding bait. Anywhere on that river you have a chance at a 70lb fish. I hear of 2 or 3 that size every year. whats not to love. LOL
