this year was the oppisite for me. i passed up countless deer this year that were either bucks and were very young or if it was does and man did i see a bunch of does i was letting them walk early in the season this year, but i got 5 deer(2 bucks and 3 does), last year i shot every deer i saw in range and got 3 deer(2 bucks, 1 doe)and the year before that was like this year i got 5 deer(3 bucks and 2 does) then the year before that was my first year so i missed a few:embarassed:and only got 1 (8 point) so over the last 4 years ive got 14. so it must just be the part of the country your hunting in, i am in northern virginia.

Kaleb, I agree with 777; I never get tired of looking at deer pictures either. And Matt! 14deer in 4 years! Man, you're doing great! If you can get any pictures of yours, put them on here too. What's the story on the buck in your avatar picture? This year's deer?

Matt, I shot a groundhog with a bow a few years ago. I'll never do that again. There was grease from one end of the arrow to the other. It got in the feathers and I couldn't clean them. I had to re-fletch the arrow. The best part was a half hour later when three foxes came by downwind, smelled the hog and started fighting over it. I sat in the stand for an hour watching them chase each other all around.

i really didnt have it that bad since the arrow went through the skull and stuck in the ground 3 inches so only like 5 inches of the arrow was touching the groundhog. there is another one out there that goes from our neighbors feilds through the woods to our feilds so im gonna pop him with a .22 this summer

Ive got a nice buck pic floating around somewhere on the site, if its still here. Pickings seemed slim this year too, only got a couple does and the meat didnt last through the season.
