It is a border water so I guess you could say 1/2 is.

The Red River runs along the border of Minnesota and North Dakota making it half in Minnesota and half North Dakota until it reaches the Canadian border. You can fish the US side of the Red with a Minnesota or North Dakota license but you must check the regs. The Red has its own set of rules.

The Red is one of the top Channel fisheries in the Nation. Been talking to some mates about heading up there this year to give it a shot.

I have fished it 3 times. One of the best learning experiences I have ever had. It is one of the best run tournaments in the country. Registration forms came out the other day. Deadline for entry is Feb 19th.
