Anybody doing any good around Colbert Steam Plant or anywhere on Wilson?

I want to go this weekend but I have never fished in the winter very much, need to know where and how to catch some "Big River Blues" :wink:

Ben, I have never fished Wilson but if you come to Logan Martin I can give you plenty of places to try for big blues. Most of my luck has been during the day and fishing on the edge of the river channels. You may want to try that. I have heard people talking about fishing around the bottom side dam and catching blues on fingernail side cut bait on Wilson. Good luck.

Went to the Colbert steam plant today. caught about 20 good 2 to 3 lb channel in the outlet channel! No luck on blues but the wind was blowing pretty good in the open water so we just went up in the outlet channel!

I usually use the wind to drift me and control the drift with a drift sock but stay in the wind and let the wind put me on the blues.
