vacation

I am looking for a place to stay for about 3 days with decent catfishing.
A fish camp with cabins would be great.
Central Florida is where I am looking. Lake Weir or Lake Griffin area.
Anyone have any favorite places?

Wish I could help ya,
I'm over here on the coast (Titusville) and really don't get over to the Orlando/St Cloud area very often and even less to fish.
There are some places over there around East lake/West lake Tohopekaliga in St. Cloud that have cabins, etc.
Need to do a search for that area, etc.

I haven't done much fishing in this area either.
I did live in Sanford in the 90's and did a lot of fishing over there.
I have a lot of time to do research, maybe I will find something.

lake weir is just about 10 min from my home cat fishing will be best in mid feb till end of march for big ones 16# is my best off hwy 40 in the forest mill dam lake has caben you can rent how much ?? not much i think i will find out and let u know

I lived right there for years, in fact graduated from Lake Weir High. I never catfished it really, mainly large mouths. Is the catfishing any good there ? I mainly fished the rivers and pond/lakes. Just past lake Weir there is a lot of hidden lakes/ponds back in there ; ) I might end up going back home this year so maybe some of us can hook up ; )

for florida flatheads you need to fish the apalachacola river basin like the chipola river and the dead lakes.....
