Has anyone ever seen a leech stuck on a catfish's fins? I caught a catfish out of Big Muddy the other day and it had several small leeches stuck to its fins and tail, mostly on it's tail. There were none on the body. At first glance I thought it was some kind of growth on it's tail. But when I got the 10lb blue back to the cleaning table, I realized it was leeches. I don't know if I have just never paid attention to it before or if this is the first fish I've caught that had leeches on it. I hate I didn't take a pic.
Just wondering if this was common. BTW, the fish tasted fine.
