Ya'll come go Flathead fishing with us. West Point has come up 2 feet and its still rising! We can almost get up the river in the big boat!

Nice fish man those things are dark, I can't say I have ever seen any cats that dark.

It seems when you start move'in south from back home in the NC, VA, TN area down further south that all the fish get darker. I think it has a lot to do with the water. Back in TN I fished water that was nearly clear but some had a green tint to it. Down here the water is so brown (I've been told it's cypress stained) it looks nearly as dark as Pepsi. Makes you respect the type of predator those two flatheads were in the pic, cause you can be pulling him up and have him a foot and a half deep, and you never see him til he comes to the top. Just my opinion though. It seems to happen somewhere between Santee cooper and the Altamaha river in Ga. The rivers in the Santee area seem to be much greener or clearer than down here. If anyone has any knowledge on the subject, I'm all ears.
