I fish the lower end of Wylie right now since I haven't bought a NC license yet. I went to Mountain Island last year to look around but haven't fished it yet either. I'd like to fish both when I can afford a NC license again.

Do the flats or the blues get bigger on Mt. Island. I was there this summer. What an awesome lake. Any info on better parts of the lake would be helpful. I'll probably hit it again this spring/summer. Thanks

I have caught Blues in the 15 pound range on Mt. Island, and I have seen much bigger ones. I have also seen a good number of 25+ pound Flatheads come out of the lake.
