You can count me in on some home-made Thai-style Fried Rice. It's a family recipe. Let me know if you need anything else.

Hey Drews,

Let me know how you do. I was thinking of heading down to Belmont pier since I live close to it to catch some bait for the outing, too.

Dude,

Last night was the most insane feeding frenzy ive ever seen mackerell do in my life
Every cast got one or two. they kept tangling my sabikis tho when bringing em up....shakin like maniacs, created down time to untangle. had moms there flylining some too.

got about 40 in a couple hours, left and it was still WIDE OPEN...no exxagerating.

dunno if it was the tide or what....then a couple sea lions made their way over....insane to see the mack scatter like that. the lions got a couple but the mack came back within 5 minutes.

if i had enuff time, no doubt i coulda filled my freezer....
still got 4 freezer bags filled with filets

cliffey07
09-07-2005, 01:13 AM
mike you you think it would be possible to get some mack with a casting net.

bluehunter
09-08-2005, 10:36 PM
I am sure you could get them with the nets, but is that legal here in Cali using them in the ocean around piers?

Those who are bringing meat, drinks, kegs, etc, I plan for the cooking to start around 1145am, just in time for the lunch. It should be ready by 1 or 130 lets say. Then we can eat, drink, talk and be back on the water by3-330pm. I will be there cooking along with some help.

Hey Jaime,

What size cooler would you need? I have one too that I keep my fish in but have a couple more that I could let you borrow for the night. I can bring it that morning when I get there. Just let me know what size you need.

Thanks Chuy. I would say the smallest of the two if you don't mind. I figure on bringing about ten pounds of hamburger meat, cheese and thousand island dressing; then put ice over meat; then put the buns. I am sure their will be room for some else to put a few items aswell.

I also have a HUUUUGE cooler.

However, with the bait (tons of mack) n poles and and other crap...theres no way its fitting into my civic.

If we need it and someone wants to pick it up, let me know

Hey Jaime,

No problem. Don't worry about it. I have a couble of them. The smaller being on of those bigger ones with the fold up handle. Not sure how many gallons size it is, but it'll fit 10 pounds of burgers and the rest, no problem. I've got two of them. One I keep my fish and stuff in it 'cause it stinks. The other one I use for food and water. I'll have it on Saturday morning for ya's. See you guys then. I gotta go to the pier to stock up on bait this week before the trip.
