That is cool DH. When I used to fish Shearon Harris lake alot it was common to see 3 or 4 deer swimming across coves instead of walking around them.
Particularly around sunset.
it tempts you to drive the boat right up to them to get up close and personal but to do so you know the deer stands to go ballistic and drown in 25 feet of water.

That is pretty neat Eric. We see them sometimes crossing the Cumberland here like that. I almost hit one onetime that was swimming from shore to an island near the steamplant. It sure is something to watch.

I thought it was pretty neat with some of the photos that he sent me, that Ice is a son of a gun with deer once they jump in if its too thick too break thru then there there to stay.

I have a friend who was camping on watts bar with a group of friends last year. he had had a few brews and volenteered to go get more. on the return trip he found a doe swimming the lake. he figured it would be nice to roast a deer over the fire for his friends. he caught her and slit her throat and towed her back to camp. when he got there the local game warden had joined the party. my friend lost his boat all his gear and several thousand dollars in fines and lawyers. should have left that last brew alone.
