Chartplotters

I would like to buy a good color chartplotter for use on the james river. ($600 or less) Can anyone suggest one that they have used and like? I don't want a combo unit. (gps/fish finder) It has to be easy to read in bright sun. Any ideas????

Alan, I can't really address your question, but I can suggest that you repost this request over in one of the main forums, such as the Fishfinder Review and Study or one of the boating forums.

There, folks from around the country are keeping up on post in those forums and are more likely to have an answer to your question.

That is probable a good idea. I saw that section after I posted this. I was wondering if anyone had one that showed the james river well.....
