I was asked to help thin out some deer on a friends property, the herd is all stunted due to over population. This is a small spike going bout 125lbs, My 7mm mag made short work of this deer. This year we are planting food plots and mineral blocks. we need remove some 25 deer and being selective on which ones we shootI passed up on a nice 8pt for seed and larger does, our plan is to take only deer that are small and with deformed racks. last week my hunting partner got a 4 point if you will call the rack was deformed. and it went about the same as my deer. With any luck my son will remember to chamber a round and get his deer on friday.

early in oct. I shot a doe fawn that had been struck by a car. the butcher said that the steaks from her can be cut by a fork...kinda like veal. I wonder if it was because she came pretenderized?? but anywho.... Enjoy..small ones arent as tough as a mature animal.
