Deer camp 07

Well I'm back from camp quicker than I wanted, got to go to a friend's funneral tomarrow, go'n back to camp tomarrow afternoon.

Had a gret camp so far, everyone's seen a lot more deer than last year, had one good one missed ( not me ), we've got lot's of deer meat already from bow and muzzleloader seasons, so everyone's kind'a picky right now. The only thing killed so far is a bobcat I got this morning, at least I got the new 25/06 broke in, even if it was a 10 yard shot.

What a great camp set-up you've got. I love the big outfitters tent. And congrats to your son on that good looking buck. Is that frost on the ground in that last picture? I'll be glad when it cools back off here; been very warm the past couple of weeks.
We didn't see anything on stand this past weekend, until Monday a.m. when I saw a small spike buck. But my niece saw a buck, about a 6pt, walk within 50feet of our camp @ 12:15noon!! She was sitting in a chair in front of her cabin when he slipped through a small clearing. He stopped & they had a "staring contest" for a few seconds, then he spun & ran off!!

Just got in from "DEER CAMP", hard to believe that it'll be a year before it's time for "DEER CAMP' again. We had a great time, ate too much and saw lots of game.
