There is flatheads in the Etowah.

Is the low levehead dam illegal to fish or on private property. I woant to fish there next year and through some research with it is on private property or not is back and forth

There are flatheads and blues in the lower Etowah River below Allatoona Dam. The Thompson-Wienman (sp?) low head dam (don't know if it is private property or not) is a couple miles downstream from there and is impassable by boat (you really need a jet boat on this river anyway). The lower Etowah goes about 50 mi. from Cartersville to Rome where it joins the Oostanaula to form the Coosa River. I think the website www.gofishgeorgia.com (http://www.gofishgeorgia.com) has info on almost all major rivers and lakes in the State.
