Hunting public land in Unit 8, 13-year-old James Livingston of Junction City shot this 25-point whitetail last Sunday during the youth deer season. His father, Jerry, accompanied him on the stalk which the boy engineered. The buck's net green score is 238 5/8 points and has a 28 1/2-inch spread. It's believed to be the largest Kansas whitetail killed by a child.

Can you imagine the expectations this boy will have next year. 180 - 190 class he will pass on because he thinks a bigger one will come through.

What a buck! I've never seen a monster non-typical in the wild, but I can still dream...

Boy that's bragging rights. Thanks for sharing.
Wonder what the kid wants an hour to be a tutor?

Poor kid, where do you go from there......lol. I've spent many years in pursuit of a monster of that calibur. Love to see a kid have good luck.

That's outstanding!!! I always wanted to shoot a non typical. I didn't think there were any around here until a neighbor named Walter Hatcher shot a 40 pointer a few years ago that made the record books and several national magazines. The closest I've come was a three legged deer with a messed up rack. For that kid, it's all down hill from here.
