Canyon Lake Carp?

I used to do a lot of skiing at Canyon Lake, and my parents had a slip at the marina, so we ate at the marina restaurant a lot.

There are some extremely large fish that congregate underneath the outside patio who are often fed french fries and other food items by the patrons of the restaurant, who throw their food off the deck down to the fish.

I believe they are carp, but I am not sure. Does anyone know if these fish are common carp, and does anyone here ever fish for them over there?

yeah, those are carp. they are freakin' HUGE!! unfortunately, you arent allowed to fish off of the marina. it stinks because you could catch a bunch of bluegill there for bait and even some bass.
