Has anyone hunted deer during halloween? I have kept track and seen more deer on that day than any other day I can legally hunt. Just wondering if anyone else has kept track or noticed.

will, halloween is in my opinion the date that starts it all, theres something magical about that day,i love the last three days of october.i love to hunt on halloween day,but if i cant due to the fact that escorting my son around on halloween night is more important, nov 1st is the day anything can happen! you touched a nerve here brother thanks.

is that halloween as marked by the calender (10/31) or the observed day for your towns trick or treat night?

I have never tracked it so to say. But looking back the biggest buck I have shot cam a couple of days before. I was reading a magazine the other day and based on the moon phase and everything else they perdicted that the Rut will happen on halloween this year.

I was up on the moutain one halloween and I guess a peta person was walking around with a black over coat like the grim reaper and a white ghost mask making noises.
I was well hidden and started throwing acorns at him, off his head , He took off running.

I've never really kept up with it, but I know my grandkids have learned that me & their Papaw are gonna be at deer camp during Halloween!
I can vouch for what Baitchunker says; we're still battling skeeters here too. I also enjoy that December/January hunting myself; guess it just feels more like hunting when it's cold outside!!
Tell ya what....I'll have to keep up with how we do this Halloween!
