how in heck did that happen. I have a pic of a moose having in some powerlines in a file somewhere I'll see if I can find it

I have saw that photo before, I think it was taken from a Rail road track and a train hit the deer and launched up there.

that looks like maybe a picture from canada where there was a snow drift built up and those lines wasnt that far from the ground and the deer made a jump in a bad spot. really i have seen the snow drifts get that high in the winter time. once it crust over the deer can walk on it to a point. it the time of year you see alot of predators take there share of the wildlife also. like the coyote. he can gain traction where a deer is slipping and sliding.

Ok, check the zoomed in photo and look at it's legs. I'm tending to think Catfishrus has it right on the snowbank.

I witnessed a medium size dog once that tried to cross a race track during the race get struck by a racecar and it cleared a 20' fence. High speed impact can do amazing things some times.
