i just signed up i live in vidalia la and i was wondering if there was anyone out there close that i can discuss fishing spots with? :confused:

Jay, I am originally from Louisiana and have fish north east Louisiana extensively. You are in the ideal spot to catch cats. You should be close to the Mississippi river, which is a very good cat river. Macon Bayou is another very good spot. That small river called Beouf river is another excellent river for cats.

im right on the mississippi i just dont have a trusty enough motor to feel safe on it. i live right next to old river though its where the mississippi used to flow and people dug through to make it stright and left an island inbetween and its a great spot! i also live close to horseshoe lake and its conected to alot of byous and i bet it would be good for cats. i know its good for perch and brem.
