Stren Heavy Cover Fishing Line - What do you think?

Any one out there use or know anything about Stren Heavy Cover Line?It sounds great.Is it? peewee-williams

I haven't used the stren, but i loaded up a Rod with Trilenes heavy cover/abrasion resistant mono. i cannot complain about it's preformance. It has held up well thorugh the second half of summer and on into winter so far.

the only thing i didnt like about this line was the diameter it just seemed way to thick and a little tough to cast on my abu 5500 c3 reel in 12 pound test

I've always swore by original Stren, and last year I started using Stren High Impact, and I like that a lot.

I don't use the "heavy cover" type lines, because you could just as easily move up in lb test and get the same effect. Thicker is always more abrasion resistant.

I stopped using the Berkley lines a few years ago, they don't seem as durable. I use the same line for about two seasons sometimes, and the Stren hold up better. The Berkley lines get kinky and don't stay as supple.
