Sorry I can't help ya, I've never even heard of this place before. I always thought the record Largemouth was from Lake Fork. Good luck there, hope ya do well.

Lake Fork is the record holder 18.18pounds and 25.5 inches by Barry StClair I looked it up on TWPD's site didn't see anything on Lake Wood. Maybe its a private lake?

Fork is #1 for bass. It holds 38 of the top 50 for the state, including #1

Lake Wood is west of Gonzales Tx. about 5 miles on hwy. 90-A. IT's only a dam on the Guadelupe river. You might be talking about a state record Guadelupe bass.I think it came from there. I live in Shiner tx. about 25 miles east of there. There is good catfishering there but watch for the log's.My personal best is 23 pounds.
