landed a 9# blue there this year.first one i have caught in alum!hope the population is on the rise!if so,that could explain the somewhat slow channel action this year.

you'll often find me farther north, near the howard rd. bridge.or depending on the time of year, even farther north.
the best places require some walking.plum rd.and berlin station rd.can be good when the water is down.cheshire rd.bridge area has been under construction this year so i haven't really fished it.if you have a boat, look for large flats near the old creek channel and submerged road beds.

There is a nice spot right off Afrika just past the Dam heading for Chesire it is the first clearing on the Left, the right side is full of stumps so it could be good also. On the left hand side if you can cast to the holes there are some fairly deep ones there.

Couple of good hours of fishing but no bites was able to practice casting tho :). Tried at the spillway also and didnt catch anything. But any day of fishing is a better day than going to work. By the way it was really nice not to have 50 million boats and Jet ski's around.

I was wondering if anyone is catching anything out that way. I'm starting to get some freed up time and want to go.

I really like that lake Clarence... I just wish it was a couple hours closer to me...;) Pickins are slim down here in the SW corner of Ohio.... We have the rivers, but a boat is almost a give me when fishing the Ohio....and that leaves me out ....:crying: .....THE CATKING !!!

Well we didnt do very good... managed to catch 4 one was about 5# it was fun watching the jug scooting across the water kinda reminded me of JAWS movie .

I think one of the problems we had was no fresh shad we couldnt locate any schools so we were stuck using crawlers and a few bass minows......

I shure hope we do better tonight in the trny ................................
