anyone having any luck at alum creek or hoover reservoir?
i caught a decent blue at alum this year, only about 9 lbs,but the first one i have seen out of the lake!there have been a very few large ones caught(i recall a 36# several years ago).hopefully their population is on the rise!
channels have been a bit scarce this year.could be i'm just fishing the wrong places.
i like the new site, but haven't had a chance to search for archives, would hate to see all the great info from the previous site lost!

I've done pretty good at Hoover this year. I think the biggest was only around 14 or 15 but 7 to 10 pounders are common. I usually fish the north end with shrimp soaked in anise. I fished Alumn once this year from the bank and got blanked.

Fished Hoover and did very well on cats. Fished 10-12 foot of water.
