I shot him at 9:30 in the morning.I was hunting in Muskingum County Ohio on private land.We had just pushed this valley out that was to the back of me and i was sitting waiting on the guys to push the valley out that was in front of me. Something caught my right eye and i looked and it was a bigger buck than the one i took. It came from the valley we already pushed from behind me and he wasnt slowing down.I couldnt get my crosshairs on him in time so i turned my head to see where it might have came from and thats when i seen this boy jumping the road heading to the right of me at about 175 yards. He got into a clearing and i hollered as i already had the crosshairs on him waiting for him to stop. When i hollered he stopped and i shot and he dropped.I was using a New England 50 cal muzzleloader the breakdown 209 primer one with 90 grains of powder and 44/244 Hornady sabots.

nice mature deer. i dont think he will make the 160 mark on the b/c scoring system. ive looked at the picture four times. he looks to gross around 153 and net 146. that g3 on the rt. side is alot shorter than the lf side so a little deduction. he want lose 10inches either. that comes from measureing wrong to start out with. milo hanson buck green scored 218 and drye scored 214.its just hard to hit the 160 class with a eight pointer but ill take 153 evertime they step out.

It does not get any better than that!!! What a HAWGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats!!!! I saw one like that in November. Shot him with a Hammer Head style broadhead. Within 40 yds he ran slam into a hickory flopped over and started kicking! I have not posted any pics because I did not want to seem as being cocky. :grin-big:
