What part of Alabama are u fishing? blue crabs seem like they should be in Saltwater.

lately i have been having a problem keeping blue crabs from taking my bait while catfishing. this has happened in mostly fresh/lil bit brackish water. they have even managed to clamp on to live gills somehow. i was wondering if anybody had any suggestions to increase the catfish haul vs. the crab boil.

Been dealin with it for quite some years up here. Its the price of doin bussiness. LOL! Good thing is that them crabs are always movein from what I understand.
