Hey all, haven't been on here since we moved sites. I've been here in Augusta for a year and a half and love the catfishing! I have beat my personal best by 10 pounds, a 57lb flathead on Father's Day last year. Have also caught several 40+ lb fish, including one 48lbr we caught and released this Father's Day. Also caught a 50lbr in May. I love GA baby!

Here are some pics of my best fish. The first one is the 57lbr, the second is a 50lbr, the next is a 48lbr we released. I posted the link to the video of me lettin him swim off. It's pretty cool if I do say so myself

Yeah Bassmassey, its about 15-20 miles N of Augusta. Lincolnton is right on the west side of the lake. Yall mught call it J. Strom Thurmond, dont know. It runs N to Lake Russel. Its an impoundment of the Savannah. I'd love to fish Oconee, but that it would take me over an hour to get there. I'll just stick with Clarks Hill. Although we dont have any blues. I miss catchin them.

BassMassey, Clarks Hill is also known as Lake Thurmond, which I'm sure you've heard of. Most locals who grew up in the area still call it Clarks Hill. It was renamed after Senator Thurmond about 15 years ago

sounds like we need to hook up sometime this summer or fall....i live not far from where most the big blues/ flatheads are in the lake.....and haven't had the boat out but one night yet......but i've been studying the map where the rivers come into the lake......there's some nice spots where the river channel bends hard that look like good spots to me. would love to load up and come out that way sometime too......give me a couple of months so i know where to consistently catch them out here and i would be happy to take ya out.
