Hey george I am getting home sick buddy. I miss the big D something fierce. Yall better be catching some real trophys now that ya dont have the master catfisherman giving them sore mouths LOL If I decide to come back up that way to live the big D will be a huge part of that decision LOL

Thanks for the post, Dallas. I grew up fishing the Hooch. Fished West Point when they first started backing the water up. Spent many enjoyable hours catching cats, crappie, and bass. I grew up in Lanett, AL.

I know your not eating any fish south of Atlanta:tounge_out:. You should see the size of the sewage discharge pipe coming out of the Atlanta treatment plant. Gotta say that water can't be very clean.

HEy Terry wheres the catfish up in Oakwood? I spent all day down here on Black Shoals in 28' stump fields and didn't even get a bite. Need a new location.

Am I eating anything from the Chattahoochee!

Just the reports of e-coli warnings from north of atlanta is enough for me
I don't even like to get my feet wet launching the boat.
Just love the sport of catching good sized cats on light tackle:embarassed: once you get past the smell

Hey Dan, saw your comment, thats no lady, thats my wife:smile2:
The two folks are my youngest son and my wife, we are all fishin' buddies!
We have been on a fish rampage for about a month now, we purchaced our first boat (a 1966 model) and can't stop getting a line wet every week.

There is some good fishing around the rowing venue and northward up the hooch. Also I had some good days up the little river arm. Fished a short while back and actually caught some bullheads around Lanier Island believe it or not. Lanier is a funny lake to fish. One day the cats really turn on and the next time to the same spot, same bait nothing. It just keeps me guessing all the time. Good fishing folks.
