I live close to the Missouri about 20 miles north of St Joe.Hope ya enjoy it as much as the rest of us do.That's a fantastic fish ya got in your Avatar. My luck is gonna change someday so I can hold one that big, then I'll change my Avatar.Peace and Plenty to ya,and tons of luck and happiness when you're out fishin!! Just wanted everyone to know that Cabela's King Kat Tournament Trail will be at St. Joseph, MO saturday July 14. We had to reschedule this tournament back in May due to high water. Also, we will be at Waverly for a Saturday night tournament July 28th. Let everyone up that way know, and I hope to see all of you at the tournament.
Thanks,

The above info is correct. We fire up the grill at 5:30 its sort of a pot luck kind of thing. If you want you bring your own main dish to throw on the grill, paper plates, silverware and a side dish to share. usally works out pretty good.

good luck to all.

I think the smart money has to be on Jaimison and Thompson. But they can be beat just like everyone else.

Man I'am tired what a week, to work at 7:00 am get out of there 5:30-6:30 work on boat or get bait, get to bed 2:30 ish and start all over again. I agree Brad have to watch Jamison but don"t forget Whetstines they will be there 2. Talked to a few guys up from Juction City planning on saturday, never fished the river before, they are drifters, don't know what to do with current. That would be rough. Good Luck to Ya and tell your wife happy birthday Brad from the BOC.

brad kilpatrick

Shoot daryl I fish more then most single guys I know. norrmally three nights a week sometimes more. on the rare occasion I take a weekend off it makes her feel special!LOL We all know Ya gotta make your girl feel special every now and then.

Josh, If your pattern holds up you could win this thing going away, You know that! John and Mark can be hard to keep up with, the controlled drift thing puts fish in the boat, not many other folks around here have mastered it Yet. and that puts you at a huge disadvantage.

elvis64505

Well the B.O.C. was well represented at the tournament and while fishing was tough some teams did manage to put some weight across the scales. Something I overheard was that it costs a ton to fish these things and that is true but what does`nt these days.If I added up what I have spent in 25 years of fishing these tournaments I could of bought a new house and had several new boats and trucks also. If you are just getting started in this game it takes time to get results.Experience and time on the water adds up and there is some luck involved also.Someone told me a long time ago being Lucky is being able to take advantage of situations that are presented to you and knowing what to do when they are presented for the taking. The big thing is to have fun and go out with the thought of just go fishing and catch fish and at the end of the day see how you stack up against the next guy.Ya cant win all them but you can strive to improve each time you fish a tournament and build on each time out.It takes time to be consistant to place on these events. These days some people think the more money you throw at something the easier it is to win them, but Mother Nature does not care how much money ya have or have spent , its how you play the game each time out and how you improve your game time and time again.

well boys it was a hot one not many fish on tourney day fishing was slow
we ended up with 29 boats . not sure but i think the winner only had 38#
of fish big fish was i think was 34#blue .not to good for what we all thought
should at lest had 150#s pounds to win didn't work that way at all
hate to say it i only had 7 pounds total and i fished all my good spots
they just wasn't bitting think the sudden change in temp had a lot to do with it there where 3-4 boats didn't even catch a fish well guess i just got to keep on catten maybe we can do better at the waverly night tourney
if anybody is going to that or wants to go let me know maybe we can convoy down together you know st joe boys gone fishen lol

Had a ball at milford, not much sleep though. We found a few places to fish that looked real good saturday, then we caught golden eye for a few hours. Caught probably around 25 in a few hours with the smallest at 15" and the largest at 20". Fished sunday till 1:30 and probably caught 15lbs or so. Talked to some locals and they haven't been doing to well.

Do know that I'am going to have to purchase a couple good drift socks, the wind and waves never quit during the day, didn't do any night fishing. Going to have to go back a few times before sept.

Angler2007
07-24-2007, 08:43 AM
The wind out there is something else. I have one for my boat but will probably buy another before going back out there. I got mine at cabela's. I use mine a lot when we go walleye fishing, one just won't slow my big boat down enough for catfishing on Milford. Are you going to Waverly this weekend?

hunter
07-24-2007, 01:57 PM
haven't decided yet on waverly. I think it would be tough not having two socks. Watch the two days of the classic it will be dead silent, and you have to troll to drift.

Elvis,

I won't be going this weekend...I have to go to Chicago for work! But If you need directions let me know! Well, just take 36 east to Chillicothe and get on 65 south....it will take you right in to Waverly. As you cross the bridge into waverly you will see two boat ramps, one will be up river and one down! The tourney will be held at the one down river from! Its not to hard to find from there!
