So what was the payoff on that fish? My bro and I caught 3 small channels but let them go after I saw your fish. I fixed the plumbing problem at my place. Now I can shower with cold water not just hot. We got to hit those canals by my place. Brian told me of a few spots...he said you can park right next to them. I want to give those canals a try...easy set up and plenty of walking room.

Dale,
That is one nice looking fish. I think I may have to work a little harder on trying to get away and go fishing soon.

Vulture, good to have both hot and cold..... I'm in need of catching some big cats too. got a rope that I could tie to the car to get into some of the spots that Brian speaks about....after the new moon.....hope that its not too hot then, as last weekend it was blazing hot in Laughlin.

Hey Dale,
I almost had a chance to get out of town last Thursday and Friday nights again to go fishing but couldn't because of no babysitter Saturday morning. I rubbed your catch in the wife's face the other day and told her what kind of catching I could have had if I would have been able to go!!! LOL
As far as your comment about the heat, you are right on the money. Ray, last year I was fishing around the first part of August and it was 98 degrees the first night at 4am with a light breeze. That wasn't too bad. The second night it was 100 degrees and no wind. That almost unbearable. The air and the humidity was so stagnant that I thought I was going to die...but I still caught some fish :tounge_out:

Hello everyone, just returend from 4 days at the Colorado River, Meet Dale and Ryan there and we had a great time. Got a mixer bag of Cats, Flats and channels from 10 LB TO 3LB and CCE all of them( CATCH, CLEAN & EAT) Man were they goooood. As always Ryan & Dale made pigs out of themselfs Kinda like dogs over a bone, Iam sure you know the type and I only got a few small peaces. The weather was great only 115* to 119* all 4 days. Looking foward to the next trip when the weather warms up a little.
Talk at you later. Billy Jo
