Drum are dying in big numbers on Jordan. I called DNR and they didn't seem too interested in the cause. I'd be leary of catching any until they find out why they are dying.

from what i have been told by people that live on the lake is that the drum die off every year during the spawn.
the fish come to the top to breed and will over exert themselves while spawning and die.
also alot of the drum fish are getting caught on trot lines and dying there.
if you here of anything else, let me know.

I also called DNR about the drum kill and they didn't seem to care.

I have a few lines up river from Fish Tales and had as many dead cats as live ones when I'd run it so I stopped baiting it until they run some water. I attributed it to low oxygen in the water. I've NEVER had dead cats on a line until this year.
