Mississippi River around davenport

Ill be in davenport in 2 days to spend the summer at my dads YAY!!!! i was wondering if there is much action on the mississippi right now? i was also wondering if fishing inbetween the rollers is good i have always fished where the water comes out of the roller because of the current but i was wondering if the pools above them are good and where tim focus my casts and help or river updates would be great.
