Ice fishing info

went to nyona and greentown/kokomo resivour the ice on greentown was about thre inches but the top snow made it week we were there about 30 minutes and the ice started cracking as it did at nyona anyone haveing buter luck than me?

It has always been my understanding that when you hear the ice "popping and cracking" it was due to it freezing ( and expanding ). 3" is minimal for me to get on. Hope you have a good time on the ice. just the smaller ponds here around spencer have minimal ice as of now.

River Scum & I went out the other day had 7-8" good ice on Sylvan(rome city) this weather isnt helping though.:sick-big:
