man i love that but its not for me . my boat will only run 40 an thats fast enough for me. but down the road from me there is a houncho. dont know if any of you are familure with a houncho or not but its a 16 foot tunnal hull fishing boat with a 300 hp johnson. its at a dealers down the road, they have it for sell from a bank repo he said. the motor out weighs the boat so much they had to block up the back of the trailer to leave it unhooked to keep it from sitting on the motor. its on the way to my ol mans house so next time im by i'll get a pic for ya to see its unreal.

Thats what my old ranger runs 40 also and that is good enough with the price of gas. LOL

Now that looks like fun. I can still remember my father telling me about his experience in a neighbors bass boat, back when the evinrude 275 first came out. He said it felt like he was going 150 in a car and he swore his but was in the air more than on the seat, he never went back out with that neighbor again. :D :D

I have a 225 Johnson on the bak of my 20 footer, does about 70 or so. Makes a lake small and the no wake zones huge. Also never passes a gas station! :mad:

You ever notice speed on the water feels different than on land? Your right about the rain feeling like being shot by a B B gun. After you got back to the ramp did you ask how much gas was used?

My old boat was a 14 panga rated for 8hp. My dad and I re-inforced the transom, glassed some supports and put a metal plate covering the entire transom. I ripped out the floor, put in a new lighter floor and took out the glassed in water logged bench seats. Slapped a 40hp Nissan on the back and went to town !!!! We had to install some oh sh!t handles as that was what most people said when I took off. It was the ugliest and the fastest skiff out there. I got some of the funniest looks from people. Everyone would say the same thing - " isn't that motor a bit big for that boat ? " I just said that I woulda put a 50hp on it, but I couldn't find one cheap enough !!!!!

no not new shock absorbers, New boat!!! the newer Ranger and Tritons have the seats mounted on springs.........Scary fast & a nicer ride.......Sweet!!!!

Don't mean to beat a dead horse and I know no one has posted on this thread lately but I loved the song and was trying to find it....

I looked on the shinedown web site but couldn't find it anywhere so after countless hours of looking I finally found it...

Fordman was correct the song is called colors but the band is called Crossfade and the alblum is called Crossfade...just thought i would throw that in incase somebody else was trying to find that info...
